While the Daisies had music with Evan, some of the Sunflowers practiced writing their name with Rebecca. In the block area, Ava, Ashley, Luca and Eli created an ornate castle with a maze inside. In the writing center, Tate practiced cutting and made a special present for Jake and then one for himself.
While the Sunflowers had music, the Daisies worked on writing their names in upper case and lower case and Isabel worked in the block area and created a decorative birdhouse. Sam and Evan also spent awhile working on making windmills with the gears on the table and Ryan read a story to Oliver in the corner.
When the two groups combined, Ashley, Sasha, Luca, Margot, Matthew, Tate, Matthew and Oliver created their own collages in the style of Matisse. Ashley's collage was a portrait of her friend Ava. Ava and Isabel spent a long time at the easel working side-by-side. Isabel splattered the paint she was using and although it made a mess, she did create a beautiful painting.
During lunch, the Sunflowers read Green Eggs and Ham and the Daisies changed jobs and talked about what we did over the weekend.
