Today we celebrated Ryan Casey's birthday. Today Ryan chose what activities we did and he chose what books to read. We started off the day by singing him Happy Birthday followed by the Birthday Troll game (similar to hot potato). Then Ryan sat in the birthday chair and received cards, a collage from Izzie as well as a portrait his friends made of him. He was thrilled!

During work time, Luca, Ava, and Lukas used vehicles to paint a large mural for Ryan. Ryan also wanted to take the bus out so the children took turns pretending to drive around. Some children went to California and Florida and others took a trip to Mexico. Ava, Ashley and Izzie took the bus to the dentist. In the Sunflowers room, there was a special table to make birthday cards for Ryan. Margot, Sasha, Tate, Eli and Luca first started drawing on the cards and then Sasha asked for scissors to cut the cards with. Sasha, Tate and Margot all made fringes on the side of their cards and Eli cut confetti. Ryan Q. and Mason collaborated with the doll house while Jake and Margot dressed magnetic dolls together at the table.

Later in the morning, Ryan's mom Kelli read one of Ryan's favorite books, Look Inside Your Body, which they then donated to the school.
