We started off morning meeting by singing friendship songs and talking about our friends. We then asked the children what they can do with their friends at school? Sam mentioned that "you can read books with them" and Ashley said that you can "play" with them. Then we read A Sick Day for Amos MgGee which is a book about friendship.
During work time both classes worked on their Show and Tell boxes and Izzie wrote "Show and Tell" to put on our box.
Later on, Alex, Lukas and Evan played nicely in the sandbox for awhile and then moved on to the light table. They talked and made up stories as they played. Meanwhile Sam, Eli and Ryan used links to make train tracks, platforms and trains that were going through tunnels. Ashley, Ava, Jake, and Izzie were a family that prepared food in the kitchen and put Baby Ava to bed.
During our reflection meeting, we commented on the kind words we heard during free-play and compliments we heard. Then we rolled a ball and complimented each other. Jake told Lukas, "I like playing with you."
