Happy Birthday Sasha!

Today we celebrated Sasha's 3rd birthday! Before circle time, Margot, Sam, Eli and Tate made special birthday cards for Sasha. Then during our morning circle we sang Happy Birthday to Sasha and the birthday troll made a special appearance. Also during circle time, Sasha's friends gave her the portrait they made of her. They were very proud to show off the special items they incorporated into her portrait and Sasha seemed to really love the gift. Tara, Sasha's mom, came in to read a Sasha's favorite book to us and donate a copy to the school.

After our morning circle, we all had a special dance party and even got to dance on the tables (while holding a teacher's hand). We then made special birthday treats out of Nilla Wafers and bananas the children sliced themselves. Later in the morning we noticed Ashley pretended to paint/apply makeup on Isabel. When we saw this, I asked the children if they wanted to have their faces painted and of course the answer was, YES!

At the end of the day, Sasha's parents brought in pizza and cupcakes for lunch, which the children adored. The Daisies came in to sing Sasha Happy Birthday before our goodbye circle.
