The Circus Arrives!

Today Ryan came in and right away started working in the block area. Sam was interested and came to help. They said they were making, "a house for animals." 

At circle time we went over the daily schedule again and talked about school rules and where the different centers are in the classroom.

After morning meeting Ashley, Jake, and Alex made crowns with dot dot markers and crayons. Sam, Isabel, Ava and Eli had lunch together in the kitchen area and ate sushi while Evan, Ryan, Alex and I read books quietly in the reading center. 

We placed stilts on the rug for the children to practice balance and coordination. Lukas was really interested in trying these out and quickly figured out how to use them. 

Towards the end of the morning a circus emerged. Sam asked if we could take out the instruments and Eli was trying to get an audience together and put all the chairs in a row. Evan was in charge of the drums and the Sweet Peas even came to watch.
