Clay With Our Feet!

We had a busy morning that started off by watching a video of Eli and Tate feeding Lightning plastic food (from last week). After watching the video we talked with the children about what other types of food Lightning might want to eat and if she actually ate the plastic food. Sam said she might want to try avocado and Tate mentioned that she might like watermelon. Then Ryan Q. asked "why does she poop in her cage?" One response was, "she doesn't have a potty." This turned into a short discussion about how she flies at which point the children all started to get up and flap their arms to see if they too could fly.

After morning meeting the classes split up. The Sunflowers had music with Evan while the Daisies read Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons. Then the Daisies had music with Evan while the Sunflowers explored clay with their hands and feet. When the Daisies were finished, they also had an opportunity to jump, pull, poke and play with the clay.

At one point in the Daisies classroom, Ashley, Jake, and Ava worked in the block area to create a castle and Luca, Tate and Eli used the blocks as though they were trains.
