During French, Deborah went over colors with the children using different colored blocks. When it was time for free play, Sasha, Izzie, Margot, Mason and made dragons with permanent marker and red watercolor and then on the other table some children taped tissue paper streamers to the dragon head while Evan, Jake, Margot and Isabel started painting the Valentine's Day box.
On the rug, Matthew, Lukas, Sam, Oliver, Eli, Luca and Ryan Casey made a pirate ship with the large hollow blocks. At the easel, Evan painted "a hail storm," Isabel painted "a silly rainbow," Luca painted "a picture for my mommy and daddy" and Matthew and Lukas collaborated and painted "a dragon."
Ava, Ashley, Ryan Q. and Eli were hard at work in the magna-tile corner creating a building with a light on top and a dragon.
At 11 o'clock we cleaned up and all the children took and instrument and a lantern (or a horse) and we paraded around the school! At one point Jenny took out a confettti popper and lots of confetti was thrown all about the room! It was a crazy parade!
During lunch the Daisies thought of words that start with the letter R and then we read The Mouse, The Bear and the Red Ripe Strawberry and The Feel Good Book. The Sunflowers read Streganona.
