We started off the day saying good morning by tossing a beach ball to each other. We then sang many songs and read The Napping House before separating for music with Evan.
While one class was having music, the other class met with Rebecca and Erica to have a discussion about building a doctor's office for our classroom. Evan thought we needed a ramp to the office so ambulances could drive in. Eli suggested we stock the office with an otoscope and Sam thought we needed shots, band aids and a reflex hammer. As a class we decided that we would need three different rooms in the office: one for people getting a check-up, one for people who were really sick and one for people with broken bones. We also talked about various workers we would need for the office including doctors, nurses, paramedics, a bone doctor, eyeball doctor and "list maker" (i.e. receptionist in charge of patient appointments).
On the rug, Evan, Mason, Tate and Margot worked on train tracks and Isabel, Sam and Matthew did their February self-portraits. Ava and Ashley used pattern blocks to create their own two-color patterns.
During lunch the Daisies and Sunflowers changed jobs and Oliver taught the Daisies some German words.
