Music and yoga

What a busy Monday! Today we sang good morning by rolling a ball to our friends. Then we rolled the feelings cube and talked about what makes us angry and scared  and then we read There's Something In My Attic as per Lukas's request. After reading we talked about what materials we could possible use for our the large set of numbers we are creating.

Today both Evan our music teacher came and Laksmi the yoga teacher. While the Sunflowers had yoga, the Daisies, plus Tate and minus Lukas, worked on Lukas's present for tomorrow as well as birthday cards. The children decided to create Lukas's self-portrait out of beans. The children has so much fun doing this, that they wanted to create their own bean collages after.

After the Sunflowers had yoga and music, they worked in all areas of the Sunflowers room. Ava was a baby and Ashley fed her. Then Margot decided to be a doctor and gave Ava shots. Also, Margot, Luca and Mason made self-portraits. On the blue rug, Eli, Jake and Ryan were working in the dollhouse and kept trying to fix a doll's wheelchair. Rebecca suggested they make their own wheelchair for the doll. The three boys cut circles out of paper and used tape to adhere them to dollhouse chairs.

During lunch the Daisies played "What's In My Box" and read The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss. In the Sunflowers class, Ryan did attendance addition and then everybody switched jobs.
