HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKAS!!

Today was fully of birthday celebrations for Lukas! We started off the morning by singing some of Lukas's favorite songs including Five Little Ducks Went Out to Play. Then the birthday troll came out and we played "Where's The Birthday Troll?" Then all the children gave Lukas cards and hugs for his birthday along with his present (a portrait made out of beads). Then we danced to Yellow Submarine and had cupcakes  and sang Happy Birthday! Lukas even gave the children gifts too!

For the rest of the morning we put out activities that either Lukas requested or activities we thought he would enjoy! On the rug, Ryan, Sam and Evan made a birdhouse next to a train station with blocks and leggos. Eli came to help and made a metro north station with Evan. At one point Jake noticed a rainbow in Ms. Jenny's room (the door was open) and he exclaimed, "Ms. Jenny, I see a rainbow in  your room!" He was very interested as to how it got there.

Since Ava wasn't feeling well, Ms. Rebecca spent much of the morning reading to her in the writing center. Ashley, Jake and Lukas listened to a few of the stories as well. Ashley listening to almost all of them actually.

Isabel, Ashley and Lukas had fun exploring the ublick on the table today with the bugs! Lukas and Sam walked on the stilts and Ryan had fun crawling through the tunnel as SuJey and Grandpa held it down.

In the writing center Jake made a computer with construction paper and at one point Isabel and Ryan were trying to get Lightning's attention so I took the cage down and then we found food to feed her.

At lunch the Sunflower's played "What's In My Box" and the Sunflowers read, Bark George.
