Mud and Worm Pies

During morning meeting today Ashley pretended to be the witch as we sang, Five Little Pumpkins and she took one pumpkin away after every verse. Ms. Erica sang Five Little Monsters Sitting on a Gate with small monster finger puppets and then we asked the children if they noticed anything different about the classrooms. Ava said, "I noticed leaves" and Lukas said, "big leaves!" We asked the children if they liked the new decorations and then we told them that their parents came in to help decorate last night. "I like it," Jake said!

After we talked about the fall decorations, Ms. Rebecca read Alice Nizzy Nazzy to the class (a favorite). Then Erin, Ava's Mom came in and made a special Halloween treat with the children! First the children made vanilla and chocolate pudding, then we crushed Oreos and sprinkled them on top and last we added gummy worms. Of course when they were finished the children ate the mud, worms and all. Thank you Erin for taking the time to work with us today!

When all the chocolate pudding was wiped off the faces of the children, we walked our jack-o-lantern to the park on the corner so find it a home. While we were there we looked for things orange and spooky.
