"Wow, this turned out great!" -Ava

This morning the children got right to work driving the ambulance with sick patients to the doctor. Ryan Casey took notes and cured Isabel's broken leg with a potion and then later "dropped the brain back in her head" with the grabber tool. Ava, Sam and Oliver used the babies and helped one of the baby's get her voice back by using the potions and then Sam used the grabber to get a splinter out of a baby.

During circle time we acted out The Bear Book with the band twice. This still needs a lot of work and we are performing next Thursday so there will be plenty more rehearsals!

Elizabeth came and we practiced barrel turns and skipping among other dance moves. Before work time we talked about the gifts we will be giving to the park. We started today with making butterflies. The children made so many butterflies! They kept asking to do more and more. When Ava opened her paper she said,  "wow, this turned out great!"

During work time Rebecca had a discussion with some of the children about gifts for Eli's birthday. Sam said, "I feel happy when I'm with Eli." Since Eli likes trains so much, the children decided to make a train for him out of wood and paint him as the conductor.  Then some children went outside and drew with chalk and paintbrushes with water. Ryan made and x to "mark the spot" and Sam made letters A-M-U in chalk on the sidewalk.

While the children were outside, Oliver and Isabel worked in the writing center and Lukas worked on the rubber band boards. Isabel drew a picture of herself in a tutu holding hands with Oliver. The picture said, "I love you."

The Daisies and the Sunflowers had lunch together and Ms. Rebecca read Where The Wild Things Are.
