Silly Day!

Wow, what a silly day we had today! When the children came in today they were greeted by some pretty crazy/silly looking teachers as well as a school that was a bit of a mess. Forks and knives were taped to the walls, the children's attendance pictures were all in the wrong place, tables were turned upside down and bubble wrap was all over the floor. Ryan Casey almost fell on the floor laughing when he saw Oliver come in with underwear on his head! He said, "you look silly with underwear on your head!"

We started off this morning by  singing the good-bye song which the children thought was the silliest thing ever! They laughed during the whole song! Then we danced do Get Your Sillies out and Down by the Bay. We played a game with the balloon and then Ms. Rebecca read a very silly story about children whose school turned into a zoo!

Evan came and sang some very silly songs with the children and then he told them a silly story about a town where people were not allowed to laugh!

During free play time, Margot spent a large portion of the morning accompanying Debbie and Jenny with the Sweetpeas and Sasha, Mason, Lukas, Ryan C, Ava, Ashley and Izzie had their faces painted. Many children also chose to make necklaces they could eat (out of Cheerios). Tate, Oliver, Ryan Q, Sasha and Luca all spent a lot of time filling the entire stand with cereal and enjoying the results.

During lunch the Sunflowers and Daisies both switched jobs. Then the Daisies read Silly Sally and the Sunflowers read Duck on a Bike and made predictions about what we thought would happen next.
