Let the wild rumpus start!

This morning, as per Jake's suggestion yesterday, we acted out Where The Wild Things Are. Ryan played Max and the rest of the children were the wild things. Then we had another special surprise when Jake's dad, George, came in to read the book I'm Dirty. Ryan was literally rolling on the floor laughing at the book. Before dance, the Daisies taught the Sunflowers how to play the game "What's in my Box?"

We had dance with Elizabeth where we did adagio and allegro dances. Then we got to work in the Daisies room. Oliver and Ava illustrated their family traditions while Sam, Eli and Jake made water color paintings.

In the block area Evan and Ryan were hard at work adding to their subway from yesterday. They used large hallow blocks and the poly spots. At one point the train (or track) broke and they had to make a bridge. 

In dramatic play, Isabel was a sick cat, Ava was a sick person and Ashley was the doctor. Sam entered the office and noticed it was missing doctor's tools, so we decided to make some out of recycled materials. Ava and Sam made their own stethoscopes and Eli made a light to look inside peoples ears. Then Ava made a thermometer.

During lunch the Sunflowers and Daisies separately played, "What's In My Box?"
