Tribeca Studio Visit!

We started off the day by having French with Deborah. Deborah sang songs with the children and she went over different colors and animals in French.

Directly after French we got our jackets on and headed to Tribeca via the express 2 train.
When we arrived at the BMS in Tribeca we saw Ada and Janet right away and the children were very excited. Then we headed upstairs where we were greeted by Rachel who talked to us about the different areas of the studio that were open for us to explore.

In the studio, the children explored light and shadow using an overhead projector, rope lights and other manipulatives. In another area of the room, the easel was open with black and white paint and on the table clay was out with different materials. In the far part of the room children worked on mixing colors and painting on canvas boards as well as drawing on paper with different types of markers. The children rotated around the different areas all morning.
