Graduation Practice #2

We started the morning off with lots of productive work. Ryan Casey, Evan, Sam, Eli and Ryan Q. all worked together to create a gigantic wall using all of the blocks in the Daisies room. The only thing more impressive than this wall, was the boys commitment to putting all the blocks back on the shelf and leaving a spotless rug.

For morning meeting we said hello altogether and then split into two smaller group. Ms. Erica met with one group to discuss Isabel's upcoming birthday. Meanwhile, Ms. Rebecca talked with the other group about what they thought about Purple Cake Day. Sasha said, "I want to go there again." Then Ms. Rebecca read Weekend with Wendel.

We had a brief but productive freeplay. Tate, Sasha and Margot were doctors treating the babies in the doctor's office. However, soon Mason and Sam converted the office into a nursery where they rocked the babies to sleep (and pretended to fall asleep themselves).

Nearby, Isabel, Ava, Ashley and Luca made collages out of recycled materials. And with the hollow blocks, Eli, Jake, Evan and Lukas built a car and airplane garage with elevators to move within the structure. Ryan Q. was having some car trouble and Matthew volunteered to be the "car doctor" to make his cars all better.

In the Daisies room, a love triangle emerged. Ava and Isabel had a heated debate over who loved Oliver the most. Isabel declared, "You're too young to fall in love Ava." At the tables, Margot, Eli, Isabel and Oliver worked on Sam's birthday present.

We cleaned up early and went over to Integral Yoga to practice graduation. We got back to school just in time for lunch. The Sunflowers had show and tell and then were able to fit in a quick Frog and Toad story which Jake thought was absolutely hysterical. During lunch, the Daisies talked about different professions.
